OURANIA / 03 UNIVERSITIES

From classroom
to orbit.

Ourania provides mission architecture, design reviews, lab development, and industry connections for university space teams. The result is a program ready to take responsibility for a real mission.

01 / HOW WE HELP

Real missions make
the learning real.

Ourania supports the technical and organizational work behind university spacecraft. The aim is a team that can make sound decisions, pass meaningful reviews, and sustain the program beyond one cohort.

01

Give the mission a backbone

Shape objectives, requirements, interfaces, risk, verification, and an achievable path from concept through operations.

02

Prepare for the decisions

Prepare the team and evidence for requirements, preliminary and critical design, integration, and flight-readiness reviews.

03

Make the program durable

Connect student leadership, lab capability, university stakeholders, and industry partners so knowledge survives graduation.

02 / EXPERIENCE IN PRACTICE

One first flight.
A lasting program.

LEOPARDSat-1 became the University of Cincinnati’s first satellite in 2026. Its journey connected student engineering, formal reviews, lab development, NASA launch coordination, industry support, and flight operations. HABSat-1 continues the work as a 3U Earth observation mission in development.

Founder Mike Carovillano has advised and judged more than 30 formal design reviews with university engineering teams and helped lead CubeCats engineering operations and industry partnerships.
